Stunning Face Packs For Glowing Skin
As unachievable as the goal of having healthy, glowing skin seems, it is not very difficult once you have your basics clear. Just cleansing, toning, and moisturizing aren’t enough, you also need to give your skin the nutrients it deserves through natural and cosmetic means. Applying a face mask regularly can replenish the skin of the moisture and nutrients that get stripped away due to sunlight, grime, and pollution. But, face masks available in the markets can be quite expensive, even more so if you opt for organic brands. A much more cost-effective yet incredible solution is to make the face masks and face packs at home. Not only can you do so with ingredients already at home but the entire process becomes much more fun and you know exactly what you’re putting on your skin. The following smart tips are to help you achieve glowing skin and care for it properly.
- Sandalwood mask
This is one of the topmost naturally available ingredients that can do wonders. Take 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder and mix it with 1 to 1.5 teaspoon of honey. Blend well and apply the mixture to the face. It is best to leave the pack on for 30 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Try this thrice a week at least. It is to be noted that sandalwood has anti-bacterial properties and honey has properties that make the skin soft and supple. This mask is also highly effective in treating acne, especially in adults. Additionally, sandalwood is known to cool the system. If you have sunburns, this ingredient will help you a lot. - Marigold face pack
Take 2 fully blossomed marigold (or calendula) flowers. Crush them and add 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder to it. Keep it aside for a good 5-10 minutes. Now add ½ tablespoon of yogurt to bind the mixture. If you do not have sensitive skin, you could also add ¼ tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the paste and leave for 20 minutes and rinse with water. Marigold eliminates inflammation and also has anti-bacterial properties. The three ingredients together act as a natural moisturizer and if you use it regularly, it brightens your skin. - Rice flour and sandalwood pack
Take 1 tablespoon of rice flour and 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder. You could add ¼ to ½ tablespoon of milk powder and make a paste of these ingredients using rose water. Allow the paste to sit on your face for 15 minutes before you rinse it off. It would be prudent to use the pack twice a week as it also has exfoliating properties. - Sandalwood oil with aloe vera
Take a tablespoon of aloe vera pulp and mix it with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey. Add a few drops of sandalwood oil to this paste. Use it thrice a week and ensure to avoid the eye area. This enables your skin to get the essential vitamins and also helps to keep the skin free of any inflammation. After consistent usage, you will notice that acne and acne scars have slowly faded away. - Turmeric, sandalwood, and neem pack
Considering the ingredients this face mask contains, it is no surprise it is on the list of smart tips for glowing skincare. Take about 10 neem leaves or buy the powder off the counter. Add 1–2 teaspoons of turmeric and 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder. Use ½ teaspoon of lemon and rose water to make a paste of this. Ensure to use a soft brush to spread the mask on your face.
